"Inside Carol Rama 2012-2014

These images are a selection among ninety shots, taken over the last two years in weekly sessions in the studio-home of the artist Carol Rama. I worked slowly, using a single source of light in order to enhance the characteristic darkness of the environments. The camera is fixed on a tripod to let the images transfer themselves, almost by osmosis, on the recording support.
It has been like traveling inside Carol's universe and her art: inside her home, every single air molecule is Carolina, not only the objects and their disposition. Also the still and stale molecules of air in the dark and hidden corners, under the piles of magazines, in between the painting materials, inside the boxes, are part of her.
